What did the client need?
The client needed a new print design for the packaging of three products. They already had a company logo and the color scheme – brown and green – to be used in the design. The client’s requirement was to limit the use of colors due to the printing technique chosen – the ideas was to use only two colors per package, with at least one being a company color. The client wanted 100% vector graphics.
What did my job involve?
In order to fit the design to the technical requirements and to simultaneously present the intended use of the products in an interesting way, I decided to use photos of plants converted into printed drawings as illustrations. As per the guidelines adopted, apart from the company brown used with all three product packaging variants, I featured one additional color in the form of a larger solid background in each variant. I prepared the designs in a production format, ready to be printed – on a proper grid, with all the necessary elements such as manufacturer’s tables or barcodes.
